Stephanie McKay
Founder & Director

Stephanie McKay is the owner/director of Washington Dance Center. She is a 2010 graduate of West Virginia University where she was a 4 year member of the WVU Dance Ensemble and a one-year member of the WVU Dance Team. She graduated with a degree focused in business/entrepreneurship and a minor in dance.  After graduation, she was extremely fortunate to be an instructor at SKM Dance for 11 seasons leading their programs in Tap & Musical Theatre before they closed in early 2021. Eager to continue to serve her dance community and work with the remarkable staff of SKM (and a few new instructors too!), Washington Dance Center was born! Stephanie has also choreographed productions for Washington Community Theatre, WCT Kidz, Trinity High School, and Prexie Musical Theatre. Her most recent productions include Hairspray, Urinetown, The Nifty Fifties, Groovy, Annie Get Your Gun, The Little Mermaid, Legally Blonde, & Fame.
